2. The short version
3. What the game stores and sends
- On your device only: your save game (coins, catches, home, settings, language) and your language choice. It is not uploaded. If you delete the app or use “Delete save game”, it is gone.
- Anonymous player ID: when you use online features, the game signs you in anonymously through Unity Authentication. This creates a random ID. It is not linked to your name, your email or your Google account.
- Leaderboard and friends harbour: your player name (which you chose yourself), your score and streak, and small profile details (boat, look, fish statistics and your friend code) are stored at Unity Leaderboards. Other players can see them. Please do not use your real name.
- Weekly league: your player name and the points you collect in the current week are stored at Unity Leaderboards in a group of up to 30 players, who can see them. The league starts again every Monday. Past weeks are kept so that the prizes for places 1 to 3 can be handed out.
- Google Play Games: if you sign in with Google Play Games, the game unlocks achievements and sends your fish points, streak and medals to the Play Games leaderboards. Google links them to your Play Games profile. See policies.google.com/privacy.
- Multiplayer: while you are in a lobby, the lobby code, your player name and your in-game actions (casting, catching) are sent to the other players of the lobby through Unity.
- Reports and blocking: if you report a player, the game sends your anonymous player ID, the reported player's ID, name and score, the reason you picked and the app version to celafishia.com. Your IP address is only stored as a one-way hash to stop spam. We use reports to rename or ban players who break the rules. Players you block are stored only on your device.
- Inviting friends: if you enter a friend's code, the game sends that code, your anonymous player ID and the app version to celafishia.com. Your IP address is only stored as a one-way hash, so that rewards cannot be collected by reinstalling the game. Your friend only learns how many players entered their code, not who. We delete these entries after 24 months.
- 1 vs 1 duels: to find an opponent, the game uses Unity Lobby (player name, look, boat, rod choice, number of fish and current action are shared with your opponent). To estimate the waiting time, it sends a random search number that changes with every search and, once matched, how many seconds you waited to celafishia.com. No player ID is stored for this. Search entries disappear after 30 seconds, waiting times after 7 days. Your medals are stored at Unity Leaderboards like your score.
- Progress backup: after the tutorial the game creates a random 8-character rescue code. Every few minutes and when you leave the app, it sends your saved game (player name, coins, catches, rods, boats and settings) together with the app version to celafishia.com. It is stored under a one-way hash of your player name and rescue code, so it can only be found again with both. If you enter your name and code on a new phone, the game loads it from there. Your IP address is only stored as a one-way hash for one hour to stop people from guessing codes. We delete backups that have not been updated for 24 months. No e-mail address is needed or stored.
- Update check, news and events: when the game starts, it asks celafishia.com which app version is required and loads the current news and events. Nothing about you is sent.
- Reminders: the game can remind you of things, for example your daily chest, the end of the weekly league or an auction you marked. These reminders are planned on your phone; nothing is sent for them. You can switch them off in the settings or block notifications in Android.
- Update messages: so that we can tell you when a new version is out, the game registers with Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. Google creates a random device token for this, and the game subscribes it to a topic for your language (for example “updates-en”). We only send to these topics, never to single devices, and we do not store your token. If you switch off “Event notifications” in the settings, the game unsubscribes. You can also block notifications in Android at any time.
- Coin purchases: coin packs are bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment, we never see your payment details. The game only gets the order confirmation from Google Play so it can add your coins.
- Statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase): to see whether our ads bring real players, the game counts a few events: tutorial completed, first catch, playing on a second day, coin purchase (pack and price) and a shared invite code. It also sends a random app ID, your device's advertising ID and a rough location that Google derives from your shortened IP address. Google processes this for us and uses it to measure our Google Ads campaigns. We do not use it for personalised ads. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland the game asks first and only counts if you say yes; elsewhere statistics are on from the start. You can switch them off at any time under Settings → Privacy → Statistics; the game then deletes the app ID on your device.
- Technical data: like any online service, Unity processes technical data such as your IP address and device type to run these services and to keep them secure.
- Sharing: if you tap “Share”, the game creates a picture and hands it to the Android share menu. You decide where it goes. The game does not send it anywhere on its own.
4. Service providers
Unity Technologies (Unity Authentication, Leaderboards, Lobby/Multiplayer) works for us as a service provider. See unity.com/legal/privacy-policy. Data can be processed outside the EU; Unity relies on recognised transfer mechanisms such as standard contractual clauses. Our website celafishia.com and the report inbox are hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived server logs. The game is distributed through Google Play, which has its own privacy policy. Update messages are delivered by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. Statistics and ad measurement: Google Analytics for Firebase and Google Ads. For both see firebase.google.com/support/privacy. Achievements and Play Games leaderboards: Google Play Games.
Transfers to the USA: Google (Firebase, Google Play, Play Games) and Cloudflare are based in the USA, so data can be transferred there. Both are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). For Unity, standard contractual clauses apply (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
5. Why we may do this
To run the game, its online features and coin purchases: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. To keep the services secure and working: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Statistics in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw it at any time in the settings; this does not affect what was counted before.
6. How long we keep it
Leaderboard entries stay until you ask us to remove them. This also applies to past weeks of the weekly league. Lobbies disappear when they end. Reports are deleted at the latest 12 months after we have handled them. Google keeps statistics events for 2 months. Technical logs are deleted after a short time by the providers. Uninstalling the app does not delete your leaderboard entry, because we cannot link it to you without your help.
7. Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction and a copy of your data, and you can object to processing (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). To find your entry, tell us your player name and friend code by email. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the LDI NRW (ldi.nrw.de).
8. Children
Celafishia is not aimed at children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
Celafishia is in a beta test. If we add ads or new online features later, we will update this page before they go live.

2. Kurz gesagt
Benachrichtigungen kannst du außerdem jederzeit in Android sperren.
